Our Story
“My life has always been intertwined with the ocean. From a young age, the water served as my sanctuary—an escape from the challenges of my home life. Surfing wasn’t just a hobby for me; it became a way of life, a means of finding peace and clarity amid personal struggles. Over the years, as I navigated the highs and lows of life—battling addiction, depression, and a deep sense of disconnection—I came to understand the profound healing power of the ocean.
Through years of self-discovery, travelling the globe for almost a decade surf guiding and coaching. I learned that the water was much more than a source of joy and escape—it was a vital force for healing, transformation, and growth. Returning to the ocean time and time again gave me the strength to overcome my darkest moments and reshaped my life in ways I never imagined possible.
As my journey unfolded, it became clear that my true purpose was to share this healing with others. I wanted to help people reconnect with themselves and experience the same transformative power of the water that I had found. This vision led to the creation of Blue Mind Retreat—a space designed to guide others on their own journey.
Alongside my close friend Ethan who shared a mirrored story and vision, we’ve built Blue Mind as a retreat centered on health, well-being and personal growth. Our goal is to offer a supportive and peaceful environment where people can have a chance to step away from the red mind and to discover new tools for living a more balanced fulfilling life.
The retreat combines surfing, yoga, breathwork and mindfulness practices; all aimed at helping guests reconnect with their bodies, minds, and the world around them.
We believe deeply that with the right tools, the support of a community and the power of nature that anyone can experience healing and find meaning. This is our mission—to offer others the opportunity to heal, grow, and create a life of purpose and peace.”
